I am a speech scientist with a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of York (United Kingdom), an M.A. in Phonetics and Speech Processing from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (Germany), and over four years of postdoctoral research experience in developmental psychology at the University of Toronto (Canada).

I have conducted research in areas spanning speech perception, acoustic phonetics, voice recognition, first language acquisition, forensic speech science, audiovisual speech processing, and bilingualism, and I generally have an interest in all aspects concerning the human voice – from speech production and acoustics to the processing of the speech signal by both humans and machines.
